I. General Situation
Jinling Institute of Technology (JIT), located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, offers full-time undergraduate and postgraduate courses in advanced science and technological fields. The university structures itself upon the strategic research of the reform pilot of the Ministry of Education on application-oriented universities of science and technology. The university is the founding unit of the Association of Universities (Colleges) of Applied Science and chairs the Alliance of Applied Undergraduate Universities in the Yangtze River Delta Region. In 2021, JIT was approved as a master’s degree awarding institution. Its predecessor was Jinling Polytechnic University, which was founded in 1980 as the first vocational university in China, and Nanjing Agricultural College, which was founded in 1958 and rebuilt in 1984. In June 2002, approved by the Ministry of Education, Jiangsu Provincial Government and Nanjing Municipal Government, Jinling Polytechnic University, and Nanjing Agricultural College were amalgamated into JIT. JIT was officially established in March 2005.
JIT has 3 campuses, Jiangning campus, Mufu campus and Baixia campus. The main campus is located in Jiangning University City, covering a total area of 1,016,400 square meters. There are 20 secondary colleges (departments) with over 20,000 full-time undergraduates and nearly 100 joint master's degree students, and nearly 1,300 full-time teachers.
Attaching great importance to foreign exchange and cooperation, JIT actively cooperates with offshore universities in promoting the reform of education and teaching. Since 1995, JIT has been cooperating with universities in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, France, Austria, Holland, USA, UK, Russia, Taiwan (China) and Macao (China). Currently, JIT has four Chinese-Foreign Cooperatively-run programs approved by the Ministry of Education, including JIT-SUNY (USA) Horticulture (Biotechnology), JIT-QUT (Australia) Software Engineering, JIT-DMU (UK) Telecommunication Engineering, and JIT-GCU (UK) Civil Engineering.
II. Training Objectives and Graduation Requirements
The standard length of study for the master's degree is 3 years, and the students can study in shifts. Graduation certificates will be issued to students who have completed all the courses specified in the teaching plan, passed the examination, and passed the thesis defense within the specified maximum length of study; Those who pass the degree examination will be awarded the corresponding degree. According to the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education, the Chinese language ability of postgraduate students who teach in Chinese should at least reach HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) Level Five.
III. Application Conditions
1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports, be of good character and in good health without a criminal record, abide by China's laws and JIT's rules and regulations, and be friendly to China;
2.Applicants for a master’s degree should have a bachelor's degree or its equivalent with good grades;
3.Achieve HSK Level Four or above;
4.Applicants for a master’s degree must be at least 18 but less than 32 years old.

V. Application Materials
1.The scanned page of the first page of the passport (valid after August 30, 2024);
2.Students should provide original or notarized copies of all degrees and academic certificates from the undergraduate level, or pre-graduation certificates issued by their schools with the graduation date earlier than August 31, 2023. When registering and checking in, students must submit the original certificates;
3.Original or notarized transcripts of all courses from undergraduate;
4.Resume (continuous learning experience since undergraduate, and all learning experience shall be provided for those who have a learning experience in China);
5.Scanned copies of all visas and residence permit related to China (if you have never been to China, you can replace them with passport pages);
6.Language proficiency certificate, which requires a Chinese proficiency certificate with more than 180 points in HSK level Four and within the validity period;
7.The valid Physical Examination Form for Foreigners (Appendix 1) within 6 months, which should be carried with you when you come to school;
8.Economic Guarantee (Appendix 2);
9.The certificate of no criminal record issued by the public security organ and the certificate of no school disciplinary record issued by the school (including students transferred from other schools in China);
10.Signed personal commitment (Appendix 3);
11.Scanning copy of registration fee remittance voucher.
Note:
1. All certificates and certificates uploaded must be original or notarized in Chinese or English;
2. The format of the uploaded file must be the original color scanning copy;
3. Applicants must be responsible for the authenticity and completeness of the submitted materials. JIT will not accept any false or missing application materials. In case of special circumstances, JIT has the right to request the applicant to mail the original paper materials for further review and confirmation. The materials will not be returned regardless of the final admission.

Complete the online application of JIT International Student Registration System(http://jit.chiwest.cn)and pay the registration fee of RMB 300 yuan to our remittance account. The registration fee is not refundable.
VIII. Scholarships and Grant
To support outstanding international students to study for master’s degrees, JIT provides scholarships and grants for outstanding international students. International students who apply to study at JIT have the opportunity to apply for Nanjing Municipal Government Scholarship for Foreign Students, as well as JIT’s Freshman Scholarship, Academic scholarship, and Jinling Institute of Technology Grant. X. Review and Admission
1. All applications are made through the JIT application system for international students;
2. JIT will first conduct a comprehensive review of the applicant's foreign status, highest diploma, academic grades, and Chinese language proficiency certificate; then, based on the results of the comprehensive review, the professional faculty will further examine the applicant's professional level, and the professional faculty may, depending on the situation, require the applicant to provide additional materials, scientific research achievements and conduct an interview with the applicant;
3. Applicants can check the results of their admissions through the application system;
4. JIT will send the original letter of acceptance, the form of Visa Application for Study in China (JW202 or JW201), and the registration instructions to the applicant, and at the same time send the scanned copy of the relevant documents to the applicant's email address;
5. Officially admitted students apply for student visas to China with relevant documents at Chinese embassies and consulates abroad;
6. Admitted students shall attend school at the designated time and complete the registration of temporary residence within 24 hours of entry; those who fail to register within the deadline without giving a valid reason will be treated as withdrawing from school.
